iPhone 11

The iPhone 11 is a smartphone that was announced by Apple at a special event on September 10, 2019 alongside the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max. The device is the successor to the iPhone XR. The iPhone 11 was released with iOS 13 on September 20, 2019. It was discontinued on September 7, 2022.

The iPhone 11 uses the 13th generation of Apple's custom chipset called the Apple A13 Bionic. Apple claimed that this chipset contained the fastest CPU and GPU available in a smartphone at the time. The phone was available in 64, 128, and 256 GB configurations. Apple claimed the iPhone 11 battery will last an hour longer than the battery in the iPhone XR and XS Max.

Cameras

For the first time, Apple provided a dual lens camera on a base iPhone type model, and indicated that photography improvements were a main feature across the entire 2019 product line. Along with the standard lens, the iPhone 11 came with a 12 megapixel (MP) wide-angle camera that used a 26mm lens, and a 12 MP ultra-wide camera with a field of view of 120 degrees. 

The camera app features improvements in Night Mode for low light conditions, and it is enabled by its default. The software attempts to reduce low-light image noise, and improves brightness and contrast.  Apple believed that with the new configuration, the time required to take a low-light photo should be improved by three times that of the iPhone XR.

The iPhone 11 supports 4K video recording, plus the regular time-lapse and slo-mo video modes. Image stabilization is improved, and it includes 0.5x zoom for realistic wide-angle shots.

On the front, the iPhone 11 has a 12 MP TrueDepth selfie camera, allowing you to rotate the phone to take wider images to make up for the lack of a front-facing wide-angle lens.  This camera supports the same 4K video recording as the rear camera. The front sensor also supports "enhanced Face ID", with a wider viewing angle.
